Manchester United have confirmed they’ve sacked Jose Mourinho after two-and-half years in charge at Old Trafford.A club statement published on Tuesday morning read: “Manchester United announces that manager Jose Mourinho has left the club with immediate effect.

With Mourinho dismissed today (December 18), he has spent a total 901 days living at the Lowry while in his role as United manager.Mourinho is believed to have stayed in one of the riverside suites, which, according to the Lowry’s official website, cost 600 per night.6

The suites provide ‘bedrooms large enough for a selection of soft sofas with restful river views’ and ‘a separate lounge and dining area with a small kitchenette for the thrill of entertaining in a five star hotel’, and they are for ‘families and longer stays or for big shot business types who dream big’.6
