Tomas Repka: Former West Ham defender sentenced to 15 months in jail for fraud
Former West Ham and Czech Republic defender Tomas Repka has been sentenced to 15 months in jail after being convicted of fraud.The 45-year-old was ruled to have sold a luxury car to a woman despite only renting the vehicle at the time.Repka during his time at West Ham1

Both Repka’s lawyer and the state prosecutor immediately appealed the Prague 6 district court’s decision.Repka has previously been in trouble with the law, with the ex-defender sentenced to six months in prison last year for ‘advertising sexual services in the name of his ex-wife‘.His partner,Katerina Kristelova, was fined 50,000 crowns 1,750 for her involvement.Speaking at the time, Repka apologised for his actions. “Im sorry it was wrong of me,” he said. “But my relationship with my ex-wife was not good.“I wasnt able to see my son, and the situation escalated.” His prison term was later changed to community service, which added to two suspended sentences Repka has been hit with for drunk driving.Repka is well known to English football fans with the former Czech Republic international spending five-and-a-half years with West ham.He was famously sent off on his debut for the east London club, before being dismissed a second time upon his return to the team after serving his suspension.
